1. 賽事名稱：第四屆大溫哥華棋會杯象棋錦標賽

5. 比賽方式： 採用隊際單循環形式進行，每隊三人出賽，每輪比賽一局。以抽簽方式編排棋會編號，然後按賽會編排對賽排序進行比賽，如有同隊（所屬城市／社團計），則安排在首輪互對，棋隊在首輪比賽前填寫棋手編號，1-3號為正選棋手，可自行決定在每一輪更換棋手，但正選棋手不能更換排序。
   Competition method : The single robin method is adopted. 3 players will play one game in each round. Team number for each team have been drawn by the Chairmen. Sequence of games is fixed as per a pre-designated table. The leaders have to fix the player numbers for his team before the first round started. #4 will be the substitute. The Leaders have the right to choose their players every round before the game started.
   
6. 計分辦法： 每輪勝方獲2局分，和棋各得1局分，負方得0局分。綜合7輪比賽後以每隊取得局分數計排名，其後計名次的優先次序為小分，同分隊伍對賽成績，對手分，執後獲勝盤數，總獲勝盤數，後手局數，抽簽。
   Scoring : 2 points are awarded for a win. 1 point is awarded for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. After 7 rounds, the rank will be decided according to the following priorities – match points, game points, results against the opponent(s), opponents score, black wins, total wins, number of black games, draw.
   
7. 比賽規則： 採用亞洲棋例，但每輪自由時間30分鐘，不限著數，之後採用累計限時限著，首10分鐘必須行滿10著，15分鐘20著，20分鐘30著，25分鐘40著，...餘此類推至完結。棋手不用抄棋，限著時需自行數著，賽會盡量派人協助監察。不設50著不吃子自動和棋，但裁判有權按盤面情況判和。每輪開賽時每隊必須有最少2名棋手出賽，否則作淨負處理。遲到超過20分鐘作棄權論。
   Rules : Regulated by Asian Xiangqi Rules.
   Time control is 30 minutes initial (with no limit on the number of moves)
   Then 10 moves after 10 minutes & 20 moves(accumulative) after 15 minutes & 30 moves(accumulative) after 20 minutes & 40 moves(accumulative) after 25 minutes. Players are not obligated to record moves, but are responsible for counting the number of moves. Tournament officials will try to assist with the counting. The rule that “the game ends in draw if 50 moves are made without capturing of any piece from both sides” will not be applied,. But referee can grant a draw based on the game trend itself. At the beginning of a round, there must be at least 2 players sitting the tournament, otherwise the result will be counted as 6:0. Late over 20 minutes is regarded as surrender.
   
8. 報名方式： 每隊設領隊一人，棋手三人，可多報後備棋手一人。每隊均需填寫報名表格在2007年12月16日或之前交給賽會。
   Enrolment: Each team consists of three players, one of which is the Leader. Each team must submit a registration form on or before Dec 16, 2007.
   
9. 獎 項： 設冠、亞、季軍三個獎項。
   Prizes : Prize for first, second, and third place.
   
10. 仲 裁： 如有爭議，由裁判長會同四位非涉及待裁個案的領隊(各領隊兼任裁判團)作裁決，此亦為最終裁決。
    Referee : The Chief Referee together with any four of the Leaders not related to the case will serve as
    referee team, Their decision will be final.
